On July 19, 1910, the governor of the state of Washington proclaimed the nation’s first “Father’s Day”, but it was not until 1972, that the day became a nationwide holiday in the United States. Mother’s Day paved the way for Father’s way.
Richard Nixon signed a proclamation in 1972, making Father’s Day a federal holiday. Today, economists estimate that Americans spend more than $1 billion each year on Father’s Day gifts.
On that note:
From our family to yours,
To all you fathers out there. Make it a Happy, Fun and Safe Father’s Day.
Dad’s play a crucial role so be there for your kids and their kids, and any other kid that needs a Dad.
To the world you may just be one person…..But to one person you might just be the world….
And for the Dad’s that are not around any more, we keep them in our hearts and prayers.
Have a very blessed father’s day. Enjoy!!!
